Founded in 1999, Viking Roofing Inc. is owned and operated by Jeff Taylor and Cindi Owning. Their combined experience of craftsmanship, business acumen, drive, vision, decisiveness, strong work ethic and integrity has forged a stellar reputation. They provide award-winning results for their clients and contractors. They have earned the respect of not only their clients but their employees and colleagues.

JEFF spent over 17 years, prior to Viking, developing his superior craftsmanship and management skills. His training began at a very young age within a family of experienced tradesmen in the HVAC industry where perfection was critical… liability and the possibility of disaster high. Heating systems on boilers with critical valves and controls demanded accuracy and precision.
Jeff then ventured into the construction and roofing trades where he continued his education, building his craftsmanship and experience in the study and application of the art of a wide spectrum of roof types with a keen interest in historical renovation sparked by a desire to preserve classic architecture using old-fashioned material and methods. He added coppersmithing to his skills creating decorative copings, moldings and other custom architectural elements to set off quality roofs.

A natural talent for managing and training crews, Jeff has mentored and built an impressive team at Viking. A ‘hands-on’ owner, Jeff oversees all on-site operations, transforming client requirements by translating design, techniques, and quality products into solutions that stand the test of time. Every project is driven by safety first, strong work ethics, craftsmanship, professionalism, and meticulous attention to detail providing a superior solution to protect the client’s investment.

For a learning craftsman, Jeff inspires a commitment for quality and integrity, an emphasis on details and aesthetic design utilizing premium products, and a constant commitment to improve not only his knowledge base but that of his crews. Jeff’s high standards puts safety first where he believes that the responsibility of building the roof over one’s head mandates doing it right the first time. Every job, small or large, gets his stamp of approval. Jeff is sought after, not only for new projects and repair, but for his counsel on large and difficult projects.

CINDI, began her career working in her family’s pharmacy businesses. She experienced, first hand, the pillars of starting a company… where customer satisfaction, integrity, and accuracy were critical components of their family-owned business. A natural to ‘make a difference’ and likely an early visionary of where she would end up, she studied accounting and earned a nursing degree, specializing in critical care. This laid the stepping stones for entrepreneurship, understanding the importance of safety first, business acumen, setting up internal systems, procedures and processes necessary to operate a business, versatility to wear different hats, and the requirements for developing great teams.

Cindi oversees the day-to-day operations to support the growth and add to the bottom line of Viking. This includes the development, operations, and financial aspects of the organizations products and services. She manages the daily operations of personnel, purchasing, administration and customer engagement. She monitors revenue margins, develops guidelines for personnel evaluations, staff advancement, recruitment procedures and develops and maintains internal control systems to ensure accountability. Cindi’s focus includes strategic planning and goal-setting. She is a visionary, leading the charge for new processes, products, and marketing strategies.

A key aspect of her position is the responsibility for developing strong relationships with outside partners, vendors and advisors. Cindi serves on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity and is a member and past-president of the Hollis Garden Club. You will also find Cindi speaking at local clubs and career fairs, promoting consumer education and the role of women in nontraditional careers.
